02 THE CHALLENGE

No factory experience,
a strong brand idea.

The founder had a clear retail position but no manufacturing experience — no supplier contacts, no sampling process, and a hard requirement that the product match a specific brand palette and packaging system.

03 EXECUTION

Concept to first order
in 7 weeks.

  1. Day 0 — ConceptBrand direction: a premium slow-recovery fruit series with a pastel brand palette, sold direct-to-consumer.
  2. Day 4 — PrototypesThree mochi-base prototypes developed — strawberry, mango and watermelon — with soft-fill feel tuned to the brief.
  3. Week 2 — ColorPantone-matched shell tints across 5 colorways; two rounds of shade revision on the hero SKU.
  4. Week 3 — PackagingBranded color box with barcode and insert design; print proofs checked against the brand system.
  5. Week 4 — Sample approvalPhysical samples approved for shell, fill, recovery and packaging alignment.
  6. Week 7 — First orderInitial 3,000 pcs across the series placed; production checkpoints scheduled.
